Does anyone know if this couple made it to Katahdin? Believe they were from Prince Edward Island, Canada. A real slow & steady duo…almost never took zero days. Not sure she was enjoying the trail as much as him.

Hey, I hiked with Canada Goose and Spirit Al through Vermont and up to Glencliff. They fell behind in the Whites. They had to be off the trail by October 2 to get home for their Daughters wedding. Last I heard they were going to push to make it somewhere into Maine and finish up the trail next year. However, they weren’t going to be able to finish the trail this season unfortunately.

I met them at Rainbow Lake on 10/23/04. They were heading south to hike some sections missed when they flipped north to summit Katahdin before snow and winter weather closed the mountain for summer hikers. I believe they had a couple hundred more miles to complete. I had not seen them since Tray Gap in April. They seemed to be enjoying their hike.
