Hey guys!! Its been a long time in the shadows. I have been away from the trail and it’s community for way too long. Back in the summer, I moved to Macon Georgia to pursue career opportunities for myself and my fiance. We now I am looking for not only a hiking partner, but places to hike in the south of Atlanta Middle Georgia. If anyone lives near Macon or knows any trails around Macon, let me know. I miss solice the woods used to give me. Hope everyone is well!!

Peace, Love and Hikin’!!

FDR State Park near Warm Springs, GA has the Pine Mountain Trail, 23 miles long and part of a 37-mile trail system in the park. There’s also Providence Canyon a little farther south. It has a 7-mile backpacking trail. Check out Georgia state parks at www.gastateparks.org. In north Florida there’s Torreya State Park on the bluffs of the Apalachicola River…not a long trail but still pretty, and believe it or not, hilly! Hope this helps…

Thanks for some of the advice. I am going to try to check out Oconee within the next few weeks or so. Its finally cooling down a little. We are averaging about 70 degrees in the days. I also may try to get up to North Georgia. But I am really looking for some stuff close by for a short drive.
