I live in Vegas and thought I would drive to the TRT, is there anywhere on the trail that has a secure garage or parking lot for my car . I dont just want to leave it sit somewhere for two weeks and worry about someone messing with it.

You might be able to park in one of the casino's parking lots in South Lake Tahoe, then hitch or take a cab to the trail at Kingsbury Grade. There are a few large garages but they are accessible to the public, so I wouldn't exactly consider that "secure". The upper parking lot at Echo Lake would also be a good place. It's right on the trail. I've left my car there for days many different times and I've never heard of anyone having any problems there. I'd actually feel better leaving my car there than in South Lake. Good luck and have fun out there!
