I am planning to hike part of the Continential Divide Trail through Rocky Mountain National Park this summer – specifically North Inlet Trail from Grand Lake to Flattop Mountain. In looking at my map, the trail seems to cross several streams; of course I’m looking to carry as little water as possible to save weight. Can anyone tell me if lots of these stream crossings will be accessible to filter water? I’m unsure of any steep faces that are crossed by bridges and thus would be difficult to obtain water from, etc. Thanks for any advice. As of now I’m planning to carry two bottles and bring an MSR filter.
