Best bet is Colorado. Start at Cumbres Pass near the Colorado border and go north to Enchantment Wyoming. Water isn’t much of a problem and you won’t have to deal with fences as you would in Montana. Get Jim Wolf’s guidebooks and Bearcreek’s maps.
