Cell/sat phone - The Colorado Trail

Has anyone used a cell phone on the CT? How was the reception? Who was your provider? Did it only work on the peaks?

Other communication suggestions? (for safety reasons.)

I wish I could find a 2-way sat. messenger, but I don’t see that anyone makes one.

The messaging GPS costs $900.00 and it out of my budget range.

Sweeper has one I think and used it there. Search back in the forum under words and see if its there. Nope, lost it. Here’s his site, check his e-mail, I can’t do it from work.
