Cinnamon Pass looks pretty spectacular. There is a great hot spot on it with Google Earth. There are several people standing up there with ATV’s and cars. But the view looks great. Fly on up with GE and say hello!

Hello Apple. A friend of mine in Boulder, CO highly recommends you to me for a possible solution to my transportation problem. He was going to drive to Durango, leave his car there, take the narrow gauge back to Silverton, meet me there then hike back to Durango. Unfortunately, his employer (the US Army) has made extended plans for him this summer at Fort Knox back east. Apparently Greyhound no longer services Durango or Silverton, CO. I no longer drive (suffered a stroke in 2007 that really scrambled my wiring and depth perception.) so the car rental option is out. Booking an airline ticket is questionable because I do not want to be tied to a schedule and arrive a day late, no refund and no flight out. So, I guess my only option is to arrive Durango, chill out for a day, take the narrow gauge train back to the trail head south of Silverton and hike back towards segment 18/17 and Colorado 114. Can I bum a ride with you to Gunnison to catch the Greyhound home? Thanks! Swagman
