Me too. I am not the best word smith and grammarian, so what does a transcriber do compared to an editor?

Basically just deciphers your scribbles aka(your journal notes) and enters them into your journal for you. Some hikers don't carry electronics or being on the trail are unable to get signals to keep an online journal...so they mail them each time they go in town to someone willing to do it for them.

I have done this for a few hikers over the years. It's a fun way to stay close to the trail if you are unable to hike it. After 6 hikes nobody I kept a journal for made it to Harpers Ferry. Mabey you will have better luck Lisa.
