									Hi guys, im going next week to Boone NC, im looking where is the AT trail most closer, i cant wait...

									From Boone, I believe the nearest point on the AT can be reached by traveling west toward Watauga Lake and the Hampton, TN area.  Of course, you could travel NW through Mountain City and hit the trail between the Lake and Damascus.  Either way I'd figure on 45 min to an hour from Boone. Or you could cut down through the hills toward Elk Park and hit the trail just east of the Roan Mtn community.

									If we can go political on this one, then I guess we could do it at any place and any time.

									If it's all the same, can we leave politics out of this? The blaze orange suggestion still stands, though. Don't want to go home tied to some guys hood.
