For any concerned nobos, I was hiking outside Pagosa Springs today in the Weminuche and encountered pretty consistent snow above 10,500’ on the sides of mountains. SnoTel at Wolf Creek is still reporting 41" of the white stuff. Contact me if I can be of any help.

Just spoke with a nobo and the report from the CDT is to be as expected. The trail from Cumbres was not passable. The will to live dictated a long roadwalk into Pagosa Springs. I’m available if anyone wants to try and arrange a slackpack into town. (970)264-2811

Indian Peaks hiker here. The snowpack is still pretty decent above 10.5k, but it seems to be (hopefully) melting fast over the last week. Snow a week ago didn’t help, but it is getting plenty warm since then, and we locals pray for an actual summer this year. I did a quick hike today and sunday hope to get a lot closer to the divide (wish I didn’t have to snowshoe at the end of June…), so I’ll try to post an update Sunday night.
