Getting ready to hike the Collegiate West Loop, counterclockwise from Twin Lakes. We’ve done the CT before and I’ve read Segments 11 to 14 are clear of snow. Any thoughts about the Collegiate West Segments? Higher Elevation, more snow?

Collegiate West is higher and sustained higher than Collegiate East. This is particularly true when considering the 2014 reroute on the Collegiate West, 17 miles of which track the Continental Divide closely. Guessing there’s still troublesome snowpack on Collegiate West whereas the Collegiate East is snow free excepting the South end of Segment 15.
