Colorado trail/ day hikes by sections

Does anyone know of any groups that are set up for hikers that want to complete the trail section by section… I know there are the week trekking trips but unable to do those … Thank you for any info you may have

I haven’t heard of day hike groups but friends could arrange to drive cars to either end of a section and exchange keys when they meet somewhere on the trail. I am looking for someone to do this with, either hiking alone and exchanging keys and meeting at a common point to get the right car to the correct spot or shuttling one car and both drivers and quests hiking to the waiting car and back to the starting spot. I am looking for a 2-3 day hike mid June to mid July.

Hi Sande, I have day-hiked Segments 1-5, 7, 9, and 10. You can break up Segment 6 into two or three day-hikes. If you are local, you may want to check with some hiking, or backpacking meetup groups. I’m currently part of one meetup group doing a car-swap CT section hike with another meetup group. We are scheduled to complete in 2017, with our longest stretch scheduled as a four-day backpacking trip. Unfortunately, we are are currently maxed out with hikers. I would be happy to e-mail you the CT Plan we have as a reference for your hike. Wishing you all the best!

I’d be open to coordinating some times to do a key exchange or shuttling. We’ve got a few trips planned this summer on different segments.
