Colorado Trail doc revisions

#1

I wrote a doc for Colorado Trail meant for CT thru-hikers or section hikers. Seems to have been used a fair amount. Some CT hikers have given me some feedback on things to add or other “heads up”. If you used the doc (or even have some ideas), please send me some comments. Love to hear back!

The doc is at: http://www.magnanti.com/miscwritings/co_trail_info.pdf

Hope to have the revision done by this January.

This doc is not meant to be a handbook…but more of a general overview.

Great summary/overview of the trail.

Copper Mountain is a good resupply when you take the Summit County Stage back to Frisco.

How about the Grant store as a resupply option from Kenosha Pass?

I am not familiar with the Grant store, please say more.

I am also adding in the copper mountain stage stop options. Seems to be a popular option that is not talked about much. Apparently getting to Frisco from the same road as Breck works for some, too.

Thanks for the info!

I will check on the Grant store sometime this winter. I haven’t stopped there in several years. Businesses along 285 don’t seem to be stable. I never would have thought that the Crow’s Foot or Reggie’s would disappear.
