If you are really bored, posted my CO trail journal.
Still have to tweak the website a bit in the CO trail
section and make the journal itself have a "prettier"
background, but the journal itself is all done. Give
it a read if you’d like.

I’m doing the CT next summer. I’ll leave earlier and take more time but this journal gave me a feel of what i will be lucky to experience. To the point no BS.

Want to do some hiking and camping first week in October around the Frisco/Breckinridge area. What sort of weather should I pack for? Snow? Tips? and any sites that talk about fall camping in crappy weather?

Nice journal, Mags! I’m thinking about hiking the CT this summer and really appreciate the info. That pie chart of calories consumed is beautiful!

If I just had a 3 day limit, what is the best section for me to target on the CT

I’ve hiked over 370 MI of the trail and may finish with sections in the Cochetopa Hills and Sand Juans latest June/earliest July. Also looking for folks interested in the Thorofare Trail in Yellowstone NP and the Teton Wilderness of the Bridger-Teton NF late July. Start at Butte Creek, exit wilderness from S. Fork of the Buffalo or S. Fork of the Shoshone. Climb Yount’s Peak & Thorofare Mt. in between. +/- 100 MI/ 10 days. If I don’t hike CT I will late June warmup with a +/- 35 MI loop of the Granite Hi-Line Trail and Granite Creek Trail in Gros Ventre Mts. Have photos of these areas if anyone wants one E-Mailed. If you like watching wildlife there is no better place in the the planet’s entire Temperate Zone. John bets, bettsj16@aol.com
