Colorado Trailhead Shuttle

Hello all CT Thruhikers,
If you are coming to Denver to start a hike of the CT, I would be glad to shuttle you to the Waterton Canyon trailhead, free of charge. I dropped a thru off this morning, and here is my planning suggestion for those of you coming to Denver from out of town, and trying to figure out how to get to the trailhead once you arrive at DIA. Take the RTD (Denver Bus service) to the Littleton/Mineral station, and I will be willing to bridge the 9 mile gap between the station and the trailhead. (Please keep in mind that it is about 50 miles, one way, from the airport to the trailhead, so my offer is from the station only.) Simply email me, and if I am in town, I will gladly pick you up.
Hike on. Rgds., TrailGuy

TrailGuy,

Thanks for providing the service. I’ll remember for next time. I just completed the first three sections a couple of weeks ago. I flew into DIA on Thurs and caught the RTD to the Arapaho transfer station where I spent the night in a hotel. Then I caught the early morning express that goes to the Martin-Lockheed plant at 5:55 a.m. The bus dropped me off at the trailhead at 7:00 a.m. It was just pretty convenient but did require a night in the hotel.

Thanks for sharing that bit of information. I did not know that RTD provided that routing. Allows you to get a good early start.
