Is the post office at Copper Mountain still around? I seem to have misplaced my contact info for this place. The phone number given in the guidebook was answered by no one when I called. I remember when I passed through two years ago that the hours were 8 to 3 M-F or something like that. This was a small operation; maybe it’s closed now?

I don’t think they would close the PO there. The trail doesn’t go by it any more though.

What do you mean, the trail doesn’t go by there any more? Where did they relocate the trail?

The trail doesn’t go into town, I think it goes along the mountain now. When I hiked through it went along the road by the post-office.

ok, sorry, just now noticed the “Colorado Trail” aspect of this post. duh, my bad.

Okay, so I found my info for the Copper Mtn, and they are NOT closed. According to the person I talked to, the address is general delivery, Copper Mountain, CO 80443 (same ZIP as Frisco). Hours are indeed Monday-Friday 8-3.
