Creede - The Colorado Trail

Howdy all,
I’m getting to the short strokes on planning. What are the best places to eat in Creede? Not too expen$ive, good food, etc. Is there a hostel in Creede; or recomend a good cheap motel? Thanks hafdome

I’m in Creede right now.It’s actually not that big a town. There’s the Snowshoe lodge that I’m at for 50 something a night, or I hear that there’s pretty cheap bunks at this trailer park. There’s some B&B’s around that I didn’t check out. No hostel, alas. It appears as though there are several kind of cheap places to dine (a touristy kinda town, but not too much so). I hear the pizza place is pretty good.

Ask at the tourist office for a B&B. Sometimes they are cheaper (and much nicer) than the Motel. Can’t help with food - when we were on the CDT, we arrived after most of the town had closed down for the season (early October). I remember eating well, but can’t remember where.
