What about an earlier start on the CT? Like late May? Also, Leif, read that you hit some mosquitos. How is the bug situation out there? Can I still be happy in a tarp?

I didn’t carry any Bug stuff and I only used it twice, only because people offered. If you trap I would bring a bug net for the tarp.
The early start really depends on the snowfall the year before. If there is a lot of snow you could be doing a lot of post-holing (sp?). Some people told be early June was too early, all I can say is that is depends on the year, and what you can put up hiking in…
