CT Logistics - The Colorado Trail

Well, I can see that the excitement is building. We should enjoy a fabulous hiking season this year. Heck, I’m just excited that the days will start getting longer tomorrow. As per previous years, I will gladly help any/all CT thrus with logistics around the trailhead. I live about 2 miles from Waterton Canyon, and will gladly shuttle you to the trailhead, and run a few errands with you, as long as you can get yourself to Mineral Station, or anywhere in the SW quadrant of Littleton. Anyone who stays in the Homewood Suites off of Ken Caryl Ave. (inexpensive and nice, new place), I will gladly pick up. There are many other ground transportation options, and I will gladly help you figure those out. Last year, I picked many a hiker up at the Southern terminus to the RTD Sky Ride, which is now in the SE corner of Denver. That’s okay too. The bus downtown, and then the light rail to Mineral Station is painless. For those wanting to stay at Chatfield State Park in lieu of a hotel, I can easily shuttle you from there. You get the picture. All I ask is that you email me if interested, and I will give you my phone number, and we can go from there. I travel with work, so I would like two or three weeks notice, to make sure I’ll be here.

Hike on,

Guy

Guy, I sent you a note about some possible assistance getting from Homewood Suites in SW Denver to the TH!

Hey TrailGuy,

I previously sent you a message about arranging a shuttle on June 30th and I was wondering if that would be possible. Also one of my friends has decided to join me on my hike so there would be two of us. Let me know if we can make this work.

Thanks,
Brian Kraus

Trail guy,

I’m flying in to denver on july 7th and havent quite figured out where to stay and how to get to trail. I’m open to any pulic transportation and hostel suggestions and am no stranger to hitching. However if it were not inconvenient to get a ride to trail i could definitely pay some gas/shuttle money. Thanks, Canyonman

I might start earlier, but might need to rehike a sec with you. No she sucks. Rebook your ticket for a week and a half earlier. Kindness to be had. Right now, I might just head to CT since that would be righteous, then go back to the PCT afterword, or stay in Colorado. Who knows. It looks like starting from Denver the snow would be fine now. My parents will be out there the weekend of June 27th. So I could start just after. Give me a call.
