Does anyone have current info on Cumbres Pass north out of Chama? Forest service says its closed a few miles north of the highway due to logging, however I read a journal that some folks have gotten through. any info appreciated

I just met with a few section hikers and the nine miles of trail immediately north of Cumbress Pass are closed due to massive blowdown. There is a detour sign on the CDT but evidently the new trail quickly becomes a confusing series of unmarked turns. They suggested you have maps of the adjacent dirt roads to find your way. They passed one patient hiker who crawled through the tangle but said it was brutal going!
