Hey Mags, and others knowledgeable about the CT.
I’ve honestly never paid attention to weather in Colorado. So my question is this. Are the recent snow storms late and should I be concerned at all for a June 28th Southbound CT start?

You should be fine with a June 28th start. I live very close to the trail, and though we had a nice storm on the 11th of April (20 inches), it is all gone, and things are greening up nicely in Colorado. The good news for you is that there should be plenty of water.
Feel free to email me with any other questions. BTW, I live less than 2 miles from the Waterton Canyon trail head, and am available for shuttles if I’m in town. Advise.

You should be fine! Assumin a 5 week hike, you will not be in the San Juans until late July. Enjnoy the hike! It will be fun!
