I begin hiking on Friday (August 22) going south from Jonesville. Can any one give me an idea on the current trail conditions and the amount of hiker on the trail?

Hi TriHiker. I hiked the Bamforth Ridge last week just shortly after the rains stopped. The trail is in good shape. We haven’t had any real rain since then (although tonight it’s supposed to pour). Of course there’s always mud on the trail! Don’t worry though. Water sources will not be dry this year. As far as crowds, usually it’s quiet during the week and busier on the week-ends. If you summit Camel’s Hump on a sunny Saturday or Sunday, expect crowds!
