Howdy all and happy holidays, thanks for all the info. I have learned from all of you folks . We will be stepping off on Feb 14 03 and we hope to be able to slide back for trail days if the date works. If anyone knows I would sure appreciate the info. Happy trails to all

So, If I’m planning a section hike from Massie Gap to I-81 starting Memorial Day weekend, would that put me in the midst of a mass exodus from Trail days, or would I be “trailing” the mob the whole time? I like the solitude, dont mind a few hikers around, but would need to plan if the shelters are gonna all be overcrowded then.

trail days ends may 19th. the following weekend is memorial day. the trail will be crowded in the damascus area.
