Day hikes or overnight

Does anyone know about any day hikes or overnight trails in the Summit County area that would be good for only a week long stay in colorado around mid-August? I wont be used to the altitude, but i am interested in some above treeline hiking/camping and maybe bagging a 14’er.

You might consider the Colorado Trail between Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. This segment will take you above treeline and you can use the free Summit county bus service to get to and from the trailheads.

Colorado Trail Is a Great Suggestion for backpack, also check out the Gore Range. If you have a high clearance/ 4WD vehicle your options are pretty much endless. South of Breckenridge over Hoosier Pass are some of the easiest 14ers. If you are in good shape after a few days acclimating Lincoln, Democrat, & Bross are not the hardest day by any means. If you have the vehicle to drive up the road Mt. Sherman is considered by many to be the easiest 14er.
