No brainer–Rt 311 to 779 near the cement plant. Takes you over McAfees Knob and Tinker Cliffs. About 12 miles. At Scorthed Earth Gap get on the Andy Layne trail to come down to 779. Or 311 to Trout CreeK/Miller Cove Rd rt 600. That will take you over Dragons Tooth, about 12 miles. Of course there’s plenty of other nice hike around.

Bucky, seeing how you might have more time,go into www.wythenews.com and click on hiking or happy trails on the home page.It gives you quite a few great trails(including the one Hikerhead mentioned) in that area that connects to the AT.I would give my front seat in H— to be there hiking right now.Have a good one and enjoy yourself.:cheers
