How do you avoid the militant gays on the trail who hijack and beg for sex on the trail? I heard it is quite a problem in many of the roadside shelters, queers using them for group sex.

Here in NY as you enter Harriman State Park Northbound the AT crosses over the NY State Thruway and into the park. A large parking lot is a meeting place for HOMOS. They don’t bother you unless you want some. The closest shelter is about 5 miles away (Surebridge) the HOMOS don’t walk that far for dick. You will find them a half a mile or so bent over some BLOW downs however.
