Dew on tent - Pacific Crest Trail

What happens when you set up a tent whose body is mainly mesh, do not use the fly and you get a heavy dew overnight? Does the dew soak thru the netting and coat your sleeping bag? or does it just stay in the mesh? or does it run down the sides of the tent and not get inside?

It soaks thru like there was no netting at all. Your bag will be wet.

You can get away with a little dew, but sometimes not. It also depends on the size of the mesh. My no-see-um netting that I use now works at shedding water pretty well, but the older stuff I had (with bigger squares) was useless in a good dew.
