Here, in Israel ,I found “Mineral turpentine”
used for cleaning paint brushes and diluting paint, is it good for diluting silicone for sealing?

It sounds right. To be sure turpentine smells like really foul pine trees, mineral spirits smells like…something I can’t describe. Kind of like kerosene. Spirits are also called “Stoddard Solvent”.

I guess it’s ok.

not turpentine. You might find mineral sprits at an auto parts store, its used for low flash point parts degreaser, but usually you can find spirits at a store that has oil based paints. K1 kerosene might work, the clear kind for heaters but test a spot of fabric first. It may have an odor when it dries. Sprits won’t. See if you can find thinner for oil based paint, see if it smells like kerosene…although smelling any of these isn’t a good idea so make it a quick wiff.

Found at the local paint store. Seems like it said “no odor” on the label.

Different products, names, brands. I’ll try my luck.
Thinner for oil based paint is Turpentine or something that’s called “Thinner 21” but then maybe there are few kinds of what I think is oil based paint, maybe some are not oil but something else syntetique (not water of course).
And the plot thickens.

What ever you find, Zam, it should have that CAS# on the container. That will help identify it.

Try this too;

read the background section. Is Tambour a company near you?

I’ve used lighter fluid (naptha based) to thin silicone with great success.
