The other night, I dreamt that I was climbing Katahdin. Probably much harder hiking than in my dream, though. Has anyone else had a dream about backpacking when not actually on the trail?

actually if you’re NOBO, hiking Mt. K is pretty easy.
worst is when i kept dreaming of backpacking when i was asleep during my hike–like i couldn’t get away from it even in my dreams. now, though, i don’t dream about it a bit.

Yes! I dream that I am hiking all the time… sometimes with my buddies from 05, but sometimes alone. It is almost never an easy section, usually something like Dragon’s Tooth with lots of rock and upper body strenght needed. Guess I just miss it…

On my '06 AT thru-hike, I would half wake up & think I was cowboy camping right on the Trail. Then there was the night in Maine I thought I was camped in the middle of a river…oh yeah - that one actually happened.
