hi,is it ok to drink out of the LA aqueduct after appropriate treatment (ie. filter , boil, etc)? thankks

I not depend on the LA aqueduct water. It is a hidden pipe for most the antelope valley crossing. On the north side, there is a faucet that is sometimes on, others off. At the larger California duct, you could conceivably get the water, but the concrete slopes are very dangerous and if you fell in it cold mean serious trouble. Plus, since its concrete, there is no natural filtering going on. if it’s polluted, and it probably is for most of its length, then it will probably stay in the water.
I would rather knock on a door in the neighborhoods than try the duct. But i’m sure others have done it.
