I met a young couple who were on their first JMT trek this past August. We crossed paths up near Cathedral Peak. I recall they were going off route just a bit to take in Budd Lake. I was so impressed with their enthusiasm and energy! (Just had to give them a Summit Stone & An Adventure Muse) I wanted to check in again here and see how their adventure went in the hopes they visit here also.

I hiked the trail this past August also started on 8/22/2006…Sounds like you are talking about Ryan & Jennifer(or Jenny) ,i think…can’t give you much more info than that…but they certainly had a lot of energy and enthusiam…or was ut the beer they gave me at Red’s Meadow?..would also like to hear from them…they outhiked me
