Would anyone have recommendations on where to stay in Durango? Am planning on completing the trail from July 28-Aug 1 (Molas Pass - Durango). My parents have volunteered to drop me off and pick me up, so I would like to put them up in a nice clean place, preferably with a kitchenette, while I’m on the trail. Any advice would be appreciated.

Numerous motels in Durango. A internet search will pull them up. Days Inn is as close to the trailhead as any and has some kitchenettes.(970) 259-3311. Downtown hotels are more expensive, North Main ones less so. That is high season in Durango so make an early reservation.

I would like a companion for that segment of CT. And I could provide a car to help in shuttle. Would you be interested in providing a car for shuttle as well? I’m a 60 year old male that can handle about 12 miles a day with pack. Let me know if you’re interested. Also I might add that the time period is in the middle of the annual monsoon season in Colorado. You will get wet!!
