Dwr for marmot jacket

Has anyone tried Relivex or other DWR for a leaky Marmot jacket? Is there any way to make a breathable jacket waterproof again? Is it better to just get a new rain jacket?

We have descent luck with products from Nikwax.
http://www.nikwax-usa.com/

They have garment washing products that don’t clog the “pores” of breathable clothes. Also treatment stuffs the will add so rain shed back to them. They do need to be applied often-a few times a year.

Something like Campmor’s silicon water repellent spray works well. That stuff you can get at Dick’s or any cheap sporting goods shoppe.

If it’s leaking, like at a seam, some seam sealer may work.

You might contact Marmot directly if the leaking has been from the start. I had a Precip which leaked around the shoulders and I was able to get a replacement. They are a quite reputable company, and it never hurts to ask.

Otherwise, the previous post has the right information. Pressing a CLEAN jacket with a warm (not hot) iron may also help revive the DWR.

P.S. I also like Tectron spray.

That’s where mine leaks. Guess I’ll try and contact them. I tried the NiKwax to no avail.
