I read the ebay entry. Two brothers 400 miles in, a bad knee raising rest costs, and a dream. The guy had ebay ordered polypropylene recently enough. Who has hiked with them and can vouch? I can see helping who you can when you can.

If they have only gone 400 miles in two months, and are already running out of money, chances are they wouldn’t be able to finish this time around anyway.
I wonder if they believed the ancient $1/mile figure, or if they just spent too much in town.
Best is if they go home, work to get the money together for a next attempt with a much better understanding of what is really involved. As someone said elsewhere, Katahdin will still be there.

Is it just me, or does the pic of the two of them together look like it was taken in the 70s. And who’s the third person in the second pic?
