Will many thrus be in NJ yet by early June? I’ll be passing through, planning on doing a dayhike somewhere in Jersey, and if thrus are around i’ll plan on bringing in some extra food and drink to share.

You’ll find a fair number of thru-hikers in NJ by June. The leaders of the class are already well past that (take a look at the journals from Hobbit, Ant & Co., Woodstock, and Groovasaurus; Woodstock is already in MA!) Plenty of thru-hikers make a good enough pace for you to meet them then, and the trail magic will be appreciated, especially in the long stretch from DWG to the Secret Shelter. Try either Millbrook-Blairstown Road or Blue Mountain Road as good trail magic spots.

Seems I shorted Woodstock a couple of states; he’s actually in Glencliff, NH as of 5/27 and will enter the Whites tomorrow. Wow!
