Subman,Scruffs & Woodstock,Foodwalker & Daybreak. It’s always fun to keep track of some early starters on TJ. The standing bet is whether or not they will make it to Virginia before giving up. Most will not. Last year we had a guy on TJ who made it all the way to the end. Hudson. With the weather being as bad as it’s been so far the outlook is not good.

Every year I pick 10 hikers I think will complete the thru-hike. The most that ever made it was 2.

I’m excitedly reading everything. Subman, if you make it to the Darlington Shelter in Pennsylvania, you are really close to us. We just live about 6 miles from the trailhead there. 
Are we allowed to offer hikers help on here? If not, I will not. I’m just politely asking first, so I’m not getting into trouble.

4 March update. Subman is the only one left. He made it to Davenport Gap yesterday. 2 months and 2 days after starting at Springer. Most thru hikers make this trip in about 21 days. Tough dude. My hat’s off the him.
