Just a quick note to wish everyone a Happy Easter this weekend. I know it’s early but as soon as we start cooking here it will be too busy. If anyone is in the area we would love to have you come by for dinner around 1:00

Well, we made it back from the grocery store about midnight and the cooking began!! Paddler, Bam Bam, Rada, GG, Mule, Callis, By 4 am we had a 7 layer salad, pasta salad, potato salad, cranberry relish, chicken casssarole made and 12 dozen Easter eggs boiled. The rolls are down to rise and the 20 pound ham is just about done. The Hawaiian Wedding cake is in the oven, the banana pudding getting cold and the deviled eggs are beautiful! A giant pecan pie and German chocolate cake from some of my favorite hikers of '03. Even the minister Floyd from across the street stopped by with chocolate. So now we have hikers getting up and working on the 5 gallons of sweet tea, the 10 pounds of garlic creamed potatos, the gallon of gravy, the 5 different veggies, etc… etc… etc… Prsent and accounted for are Woody, Restless, Mickey One Sock, Takoma Ted, Shot, Hoss, Woody, GG,Rada, Mule, Ashtray, Paddler, Bam-Bam, K-Less. My dear friends Stumpknocker and Jan LiteShoe of '03 stopped in too. There are piles of deviled and hard-boiled eggs galore. We can hardly move for the egshells. So now we know why the chicken crossed the road.

I remember that year - barefoot sisters’ bananna nut pancakes, hikers around the trash can making can stoves, deviled eggs —oooooo!!! This is torture! See you at trail days;)
