July 11, 2022, I had spinal surgery to correct a “gimpy” problem with my walking. I’m healing up now and starting to get back into shape for another go at the trail in 2023.
My plans are to travel via Amtrak from Sandusky, Ohio to Harpers Ferry, where I’ll pick up the trail, and hike North either as a Flip-Flop or a LASH.
I’ll be 71 years old when I begin and won’t be in any hurry, listening to my body as I hike.
