There should be quite a few folks starting about that time. Especially if you hit the trailhead on a saturday morning (July 2) there might very well be a herd of hiker trash heading west through Waterton Canyon. Kidd and I are going to be starting about that time too. Maybe we will see you out there.

Hi Stephen. Thanks for the info and sorry I haven’t replied sooner. I have decided that I am going to hike the Ct thru. Starting July 4th weekend. I plan on avg. 12 miles a day (42 days approx) and still working on gear weight, resupply points and the like. I am a first timer for such a lengthy journey. I am doing my homework and training. It would be nice to have a veteran help with planning and all. It would be nice to have a hiking partner, but not gonna cancel if I don’t. Thanks again
