I was just wondering how many European triple crowners there are. Squeaky is British, right? I’m Dutch. That’s two. Are there more? And where are they? Would be fun to know.
ps. Holland is flat, I miss the mountains!

Not every triple crowner is on this list and it still has to be updated for the 2004 people (2005 people usually get their award in Oct 2006).

Not a whole lot of us, eh? Then again I’m probably not on that list either since I never sent anything in to let them know what I hiked. Thanks for the info.

Nice to read about European hikers. I wondered how many european hikers were on one of the three long trails, but now I read there are quiet a few triple crowners.
ps: Limburg is a little less flat, but still no mountains;)

england is part of the british isles, and not part of the european continent, therefore not european;)
nerd
Hey Nerd, does that mean Key West is part of Cuba?

It may not be attached by land, but I am sure most people would consider it part of Europe - politcally, culturally and yes geographically. The UK is not a continent after all!
Then there is that whole thing about it being part of the EEC, too.
Paul Mags
Following your definition most Irishmen wouldn’t consider Ireland as a part of the UK. :cheers

A woman from England received her Triple Crown with us in 2003. Sorry I don’t have her name.

The UK is a political unit, Europe is a contiguous, specific land area. The United Kingdom is all of the British Crown’s Commonwealth countries. The island of Great britain is, alas, an island, and as such is not part of Europe. Britain is a member of the EU, but Canada and Australia, both members of the British Commonwealth, are not. See? It’s all completely explicable.

Now that I mention it, the Brit isles have been invaded by Eurocelts, Norses, that guy who went to Hastings (Brittanic-Norse), Gilligans, the skiipper & Mary ann… if there ever were native born Brits, not counting Cromagnon & Homosapeins, the isles sure are Euro-now!!! sicnerely,
GBM: alps97, pyrennees99, pennineway01
Now that’s a triple crown, though I wisht I woulda started at BritLand’s End, done the SW way up to where the Offadyke starts then the Cambrian way up to the Pennine way then Highland way to the other one that goes almost to Ogroats…
that’s how you thruhike Britisles (please fix up them connecting trails so I don’t have to: ur honorness QEII.!!!
