I’ve seen my fair share of insoles rigged with duct tape to make a pair of lightweight sandals. Just use the insoles you take out of your shoes if you replace them with better ones. They are usually super thin foam and don’t last long. I’ve never carried camp shoes but if I did, this would be it.

Crocs may be comfortable, but at 12 oz/pair are not lightweight by any standard. Also expensive.
googer
I found a pair of Nike sandals on sale in an outlet store for $10; weight: 4.7oz. for women’s size 9(they were actually boys’).

Wal Mart has a Croc knockoff that I think are very light. The lightest size 14 shoe I have ever worn and very comfortable.

Seems like these were reportedly only a couple of ounces each…

I’ve tried those SprintAquatic mesh shoes and they are very, very flimsy. The sole is made of 1/8 inch soft rubber that gives way to sticks as you’re walking around camp. They don’t hold up.

Croc look-a-likes also available at Payless Shoes…half the price of the “real thing”, yet they feel just the same to me.

I found some croc knock offs at 3.5 oz for size 8 W at Recreation Outlet in Salt Lake City UT for $9. They’re better than anything I’ve had before both in weight and cost.

Hi picked up a pair of the knockoffs are Target for around $10. They size 10 weigh 4.5oz each. WalMart also has them.
Is the 3.5oz for a single shoe? 3.5oz for each is XUL…
