Days here are perfect and comfortable. Shorts and short sleeves for hiking would be fine. At night it does get cool and is supposed to get much cooler Thursday so bring a base layer and perhaps a fleece of windstopper. It is the PERFECT time to hike in my VA home!

How long have you been waiting to use that line?:lol

How will the weather be later in October? I am planning on a weekend in the Shenandoah NP the third week or so.

I was plan’n on leaving from the Tye River bridge head’n north, but would love to hook up with hikers elsewhere. I have a cabin @ the base of the priest- so parking would be no problem. Let me know. Kevin

We’re planning onarriving in Harpers Ferry friday evening around 6. then we’re looking for a ride from Harpers Ferry to VA-605, if you know where or who to call for this your help would be greatly appreciated. We will then hike back to the ferry in hopefully 3 days 2 nights.
