I heard about a family (couple with teenage or younger daughter) who was hiking the trail last year. The last I heard they had made it into Northern California, but I never heard anything after that. Does anyone know their names and what happened to them? Thanks!

This family is featured in the February 2005 issue of the “Pacific Crest Trail Communicator.” “Scrambler” is the name of the ten-year-old girl. Her dad is “Captain Bligh” and her mom is “Nellie Bly.” They finished the PCT on October 25, 2004 (the mom had to leave the trail for a short time due to medical problems.) Scrambler sounds like a neat little girl. She climbed Mt. Shasta when she was only seven years old.
