Favorite flat section?

You think about the AT, mountains usually come to mind.

But there are ‘a few’ flat sections. Or at least, under 2,000 feet.

I guess the question is, what is your favorite section UNDER 2,000 feet on the Appalachian Trail?

The one that comes to mind for me is the section along Rainbow Stream to Rainbow Ledges.

How about you?

there are no flat sections on the At. I really liked the housatonic river section in ct. I also though right before Damascus that is flat.

The 7 or 8 miles along Dismal Creek in VA was a welcome relief.

Do remember the stretch north out of Boiling Springs as maybe the longest, flattest section - we did from BSprings all the way into the Duncannon, a marathon distance, for a very long day - too long, too sunny & too hot to ever be considered a favorite - but it was flat!
I agree with YoungnDum - (tho I never would think I could say that) -& seem to recall that the section from Pawling, NY, then on along the Housatonic & even on into Salisbury, CT as less difficult. ( I seldom describe any section of the AT as “easy.”)
