Does anyone have a good source to find a hiking companion for the AT. I leaving in April and would like to hike with someone the entire way.

no problem. just show up at springer in april and you will meet a gazillion people. you’ll eventually find a person or group to hike with, but don’t get caught up with trying to stay with faster hikers or you’ll risk injury. unless of course you are one of those young, indestructible hikers!
i hiked in 2003 and mostly hiked with yo-yo, dred, and nimble, but also sometimes hiked with doulous, wally gator, and lemming. but i didn’t hike with someone the entire way.
just go. have fun. you’ll meet lots of people!

Really, I agree with rambler. I thought it was necessary to have a partner to start with and went through like 6 very unreliably people before i found someone to start with. ended up hikign to neel’s gap with her before we parted ways because our personalities were different and so was our hiking style. ended up meeting the person i went to Katadyn with at the Blueberry Patch Hostel in NC. Anyway, I wouldn’t freak about a hiking partner, there are A MILLION GILLION people out there. anyway, when you get to NC/GA stay at the Blueberry Patch Hostel, not the other one, Gary and his wife are so nice and they do your laundry for you and make you breakfast. The hospitality is the BEST on the trail! That’s my advice.
