Finding a journal?

This is a bizarre question, I know. My kids are really interested in thru-hiking (Thank God!!! Been waiting for years! Hope to plan our thru-hike in another few years!) We would love to find a family who is thru-hiking and read their journal(s). Does anyone have a suggestion on how to find one? All of my searches are coming up empty.

Makes a world of difference if they’re 9, 15, 19, 29…

Yes, it does make a difference! I guess I wasn’t as clear as I could have been. I have been searching at trailjournals.com. I want to find a journal that would be appropriate for them - family friendly I guess? My kids are 10 and 6. The youngest is the one really interested. We’ve seen a few folks training where we live and I should probably stop and ask if they have a journal. We would love to plot a hiker or hikers on our map and read their entries.

There was a journal a few years back of a family that did a thru. I remember the kids trail name was oblivious but I can’t remember the parents name. It was a very interesting journal. Also do a search on fallingwaters journal on the web. He hike for a summer on the AT with his wife and son and have a very interesting journal.

Search Oblivious in the search box on this site. Choose photos as the location to search.
