With the High Park fire burning out of control, I wonder about the CT route. What is your opinion? Safe to hike or not?

The High Park fire is about 60 miles north of the start of the Colorado trail. North winds are unusual for Colorado, so the chances of it spreading far south are small.

While I totally get that THIS fire isn’t a danger to hikers on the trail, I am wondering about the conditions that contributed to this one exploding like it has. If another fire were to start near the trail therewould be no way hikers could out. I am wondering more about overall conditions rather than danger from this particular fire.
