  3. Mostly can stay in shelters (do u really need tent?)
  4. Will probly lose about 30-40 lbs body fat… can u?
  5. Drift/Jump box: forward food/gear about 6-10 days ahead
using Priority mail that you can have forwarded free if u don’t stop in or reach town on a postal closed day!!!
  6. Resupply as you go (might not need to have food sent from home if you shop wisely & send boxes to self.)

You really need to do some section hikes to see which is the best gear for you. Check out websites and outfitters. Think lite, but don’t get ripped off. Keep it all simple, and hike your own hike. You will love it!!!

Read lots of journals, do some short section hiking, research and test out gear, take care of your feet and always always always listen to your body. And it’s good to be in some sort of shape before hiking, but there is nothing you can do to truly prepare your body for a thru hike, you just have to get out there and do it. Good luck!
