I will be hiking Sections 8 - 12 (Copper Mt. to Buena Vista) starting July 16th. is there any good places to fish along the trail?

the fishing is sparse in the first part of your trip consisting of fishing small creeks for 8 inch brookies. Later in your trip you will have easy access to Tourquise Lake, Pine Creek, Twin Lakes and a few alpine tarns that have better fishing opportunities. I like to carry a 4 piece pack rod either fly or spin and nymphs or small spinners. IMO the fishing opportunities in this section easily justify the weight of the gear as long as youre not a hardcore 20 mile/day person who stops for nothing but dark or a fracture.
