I just rented a place at 309 S. Verde St. in Flagstaff, Az. Mapquest it for the location. It’s just one mile west of the resupply route on Butler Ave. If you southbound you will pass between two large grocery stores a half mile before Butler Ave. Walking down Butler you will pass a Natural Foods supermarket called New Fronteirs. Just a 5 minute walk from my door. I’m close to downtown and the bars, restaurants, Gear Shops. There’s a chinese buffet, dairy queen and Barnes and Noble .5 miles away. I have yet to find the laundromat, but hope it’s close since there is no washer and dryer.

The place: 3 bedroom house built in the '40’s, it’s me and two other roomies. Plenty of floor space, lrg living room. No couch though. need to get one free from Craigs list soon. Plenty of room outside to crash too. Dogs ok. Only rule, no tobacco smoke inside. Expect some sort of partying going on.

Resupply boxes can be mailed to :

Will you do my laundry for free like the Saufleys? Just kidding. I wish you were there last year when I went through.

Found the Laundromat two blocks away. We are going to try to get wireless hooked up, I have an extra laptop that hikers can use. Currently you got to walk to the coffee shop next to the Laundromat for free wireless, or go hang out on the university campus here. Oh yeah we have the original Nintendo with Mario Bros. Metroid and Zelda plus a bunch of other games. Two liquor stores within a 3 minute walk too. BBQ.

Guino…you still around to host hikers this spring? I plan to start Nobo in the middle of April for a speed-record attempt. Although I’m still not sure that I intend to do the Flagstaff detour, it could be a great spot to take a zero…

I’d love people to cruise by. I’m living on Campus right now in a 4 bdrm apt with a lot of room in the living room aka a couch to crash on. Also, free washer and dryer, and wifi. Im at 400 E. McConnell dr. F-23A. Mailing is #79 instead of the F-23A thing. That’s just on the Southwest side of the gigantic domed football stadium. I’m going to be leaving for the Appalachian trail on May 12th, thats also my finals week here. The week before I imagine I will be really busy with last minute planning and studying. Your more then welcome to spend a night though. Give me a call when you, or any other hikers want to come by. I have no car or bike or anything, so wont be able to do a pickup from the trail. Though the resupply route is only about a mile down the urban path from my house. Take a left when you cross under I-40 and follow the trail in the wash. Should lead you pretty much here with minimal confusion.

I don’t have to much set up here, but good place to crash get cleaned up and do wash, relax. Theres a Walmart and supermarket within a mile along with a plethora of other business and retail. A natural food supermarket is near the Urban trail which leads you here. Look up New Frontiers on mapquest.
